Most brands start with a product. Earthcove started with a question.

"Why is all swimwear made entirely from plastic fabrics?"

I'd been founder and CEO of plastic-free children's brand Pure Earth Collection for six years when this hit me. My whole business was about keeping children away from microplastics. Yet my own kids spent every summer in plastic swimwear, because I couldn't find a natural alternative.

So I set out to make one. GOTS certified organic fabrics instead of plastics.

Sampling was quick. My children had natural fabrics to swim in that summer. But I wasn't launching anything until we'd tested it through a full season of sun, sand and swims. Thinking there must be a reason everyone else used plastic! Maybe ours would disintegrate in salt water, or lose their shape after a few wears?

None of that happened. The cotton swimwear outperformed the synthetics, lasting at least twice as long before sagging or bobbling.

So in spring 2024, we launched, and it sold out in two weeks. Then came hundreds of requests for adult styles. 

What began as one mother's quest to get plastic out of her children's summers became Earthcove. A new brand born from Pure Earth Collection now with a home of its own.

GOTS

GOTS is the gold standard for organic textiles. It covers the entire production chain, from farming, spinning, weaving and dyeing to the finished garment, checking for harmful substances and protecting worker rights at every stage. A GOTS certificate is only given to a supply chain independently audited throughout.

MANUFACTURING

Earthcove is manufactured through GOTS certified partner mills and Sedex approved factories.

PACKAGING

We eliminate unnecessary plastics at every stage. Our packaging bags are reusable organic cotton drawstring pouches. Mailing boxes and packing tape are biodegradable. Swing tags are card with natural jute string.
